Sometimes, you are browsing the Internet and stumble upon a grave.
It can be a diary that has no records after a certain date, and if you go to diaries of friends of that person, you find out that he is long dead, and you've heard a voice of ghost.
Or it can be a webcomic on indefinite hiatus, with link to deviantART page of an artist, and if you go there, and browse favourites for a while, you find out that he is dead as well.
You can also find "In Memoriam" pages in living webcomics or records in blogs. Things that were created postmortem in memory of people that you never knew and will never know. People that died of reasons that you thought unlikely to happen, reasons of any kind - a traffic accident, a hate crime, or just a stupid coincidence. No matter what is the case, those people are no longer walking the grounds of this world, but the memory of their life still persists.
Ars longa, vita brevis.
This record is written because I some time ago I found a webcomic, liked its art style, read it for a while, tried not to miss an update, and was greatly upset when at some point of time updates stopped coming. I know, that sometimes life happens, people get a real work, or get married, or whatever, so I decided to stop reading that webcomic for a while, and check it only once in a couple of months. However, recently I found out that real life was not a case, or, more precisely, it was, in its grim aspect - real death. Cherigirl, an author of webcomic mentioned, is dead.
I liked your webcomic, I liked your style, and I think we could be friends if I happened to know you before you died. My condolences to your brother, Real-Shadowartist, and the rest of your family. RIP, Cherigirl.
